Films Division will mark Hindi Divas 2021 with online Film Festival ‘Hindi: Bharat Ki Vani’

Mumbai/Kolkata: To mark historic occasion of 14 September 1949, adoption of Hindi as the official language of the Republic of India, Hindi Divas-2021 will be celebrated by Films Division with screening of online Film Festival “Hindi: Bharat Ki Vani” along with organizing various competitions. Online Film Festival “Hindi: Bharat Ki Vani” will be screened on Films Division’s website and YouTube channel on 14th and 15th September, 2021, says a press release.

As part of Hindi Divas Celebration -2021, Films Division is observing Hindi Pakhwada from 1st September, 2021 to 15th September, 2021 to promote use of practical Hindi in official work. To encourage the officers and officials for working in Hindi, various competitions were organized. Dictation, essay writing, elocution competitions, quiz competition, were amongst the few. 

Films being screened at online film festival “Hindi: Bharat Ki Vani” are 14 September, 1949 (17 Min./ 1991/ Muzhir Rehman), Bharat Ki Vani (52 Min./ 1990/ C.S. Nair), Hindi Ke Badhate Kadam (13 Min./2021/R. Ravi). Along with it, documentaries on great personalities from Hindi Literature such as the popular novelist Premchand, the father of modern Hindi literature – Bharatendu Harishchandra, Rashtrakavi Maithili Sharan Gupta, the great writer and poet Jai Shankar Prasad, Suryakant Tripathi Nirala, Ram Dhari Singh Dinkar, Gopaldas Neeraj and on famous writer and editor Acharya Shivpoojan Sahay, shall be streamed under “Hindi: Bharat Ki Vani” online film festival.

All the films will be streamed on https://filmsdivision.org/ ‘Documentary of the Week’ section and also on https://www.youtube.com/user/FilmsDivision on 14-15 September 2021 for 48 hours.
