Noted musicians to participate in the Workshop Series

Amidst the outbreak of the Covid-19 and the mandatory clampdown for all of us, the social distancing is expected to the part of our daily routine. Even during this unprecedented twist and change in lifestyle, we should not miss the rhythm and tune of our life. To enable to make most of your time during this lockdown and that too with the maestros of Indian music industry, we offer you an unique opportunity to learn and understand your favorite instrument in the comforts of your home.

Noted musicians such as Gino Banks, Rakesh Chaurasia, Ojas Adhiya, Sangeet Haldipur, Purbayan Chaterjee and Sheldon D’silva are participating in the Workshop Series. In one of its kind of Workshop Series, we, the Event Company and Ginger PR together are bringing 6 of the finest musicians of our  era across 6 days and with 6 different instruments. The participants, a limited group of amateur music enthusiasts, will get the opportunity to learn and understand the particular instrument from none other than the leading musicians from the genre.

A versatile musician and son of the legendary Jazz maestro Louiz Banks, Gino Banks will hold the session on Drums and brings 4 Limb Coordination for Drummers and Rhythmic Concepts for all Musicians. The one-hour session begins at 5.30pm on Monday May 11. 

Rakesh Chaurasia, nephew of legendary flautist Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, will cover the technique of flute across various genres like Classical, Fusion and Bollywood. The session will be held on May 12 at 5.30pm.

Ojas Adhiya, well known Tabla artist,will explain the finer details, traditional compositions & rhythmic aspects of Tabla playing across various genres in his session on May 13 at 5.30pm.

Sangeet Haldipur will hold a session on May 14 at 5.30pm and will interact and teach about music composing and the vast approach towards arranging and song production.

On May 15 at 5.30pm, Purbayan Chaterjee, one of the finest Sitar players in Indian classical music world will be talking about various ways the sound of the Sitar fits into different soundscapes in his session. Purbayan will also talk about a comprehensive approach to sitar technique. Lockdown Session by Sheldon D’silva, noted Bass Guitarist, on May 16 at 5.30pm,will include Right Hand Sound Palette, Strengthening Your Fingers ,Building ‘The Bassline’,Swing,Improvisation,Time and Pocket and Make Music First.
