New Delhi/UP: The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has condoled the loss of lives of 24 migrant workers due to the road accident in Auraiya of Uttar Pradesh.
Expressing grief over the death of 24 migrants, who were killed in the road mishap in Auraiya district of Uttar Pradesh, PM Narendra Modi said that the government is carrying out relief work in full swing.
PM Narendra Modi tweeted: The accident in Auraiya of Uttar Pradesh is very tragic. The Government is carrying out relief work in full swing. I express my condolence to the families of those who died in the accident and also pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.
At least 24 migrant labourers lost their lives and more than 30 were injured after the truck they were travelling in collided with another truck in the early hours of Saturday in Auraiya.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the deceased. The UP Government has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh for families of those who lost their lives while Rs 50,000 for injured.
