Cuttack/Bhubaneswar: Bharatiya Railway Mall Godam Shramik Union (BRMGSU) recently celebrated “Shram Samman Samaroh Utsav” in the main railway goods warehouses across the state of Orissa. Leaders like Balram Mallick, Pankaj Raut, Prakash Raut, Krishna Chandra Soin and, Bishwanath Maharana were present in the program of Cuttack Railway Goods Godown of Orissa, says a press release.
During the programme, Parimal Kanti Mandal, National President of Bharatiya Railway Mall Godam Shramik Union said, “Labours or workers are the future of the country. They can work tirelessly to bring the country to the pinnacle of development. During the last corona pandemic, When all of us had stopped going out of the house to survive, the warehouse workers of the railways continued their services to feed the countrymen, risking their lives in return for very little remuneration. So, like doctors, nurses and policemen, they too are corona warriors.”
Parimal Kanti Mandal said, “On behalf of BRMGSU, this day is being celebrated by our workers in different parts of India as “Shram Samman Samaroh Utsav”. We have distributed T-shirts, jackets and essential things to the Covid warriors to bring social respect. We will continue our fight to make a mark by staying with them. We will fight for them in getting all the essential services for fulfilling their basic needs.”
The leaders also honored the warehouse workers by giving flower bouquets, safety jackets, T-shirts etc, the release added.
