New Delhi/Kolkata: The Vice President Venkaiah Naidu has greeted the people on the auspicious festival of Onam. West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar also greeted the people on the occasion of Onam.
Vice President in a tweet, said, “Greetings on the auspicious occasion of #Onam! Onam is celebrated to honor the memory of legendary King Mahabali, compassionate ruler of Kerala.”
VP Naidu said, “On this #Onam, let us remind ourselves of the values of honesty, integrity, compassion, selflessness & sacrifice which the great king Mahabali espoused. May this joyous festival bring peace, prosperity and happiness to everyone.”
Greeting the people, West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar, said, “Onam greetings to everyone. May this festival enrich our society with happiness, harmony, wellbeing, good luck, health & success!”
Governor Dhankhar said, “It is expression of our gratitude to Mother Nature at the arrival of new crop. May the spirit of this festival help us tide through these tough times.”
