WB Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar @jdhankhar1 met Home Minister Amit Shah @amitshah

New Delhi: West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on Monday met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi to discuss the overall prevailing situation in the state under the Mamata Banerjee Government.

Before meeting the Home Minister, the Governor said that under Article 159 of the Constitution it was part of his duty to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution.

Mr. Dhankhar, during the hour-long meeting, raised the issue of “rampant corruption in Amphan relief distribution” and “alarming COVID-19 situation in the State”.

Governor Dhankhar took to Twitter and said, “In an hour long meeting with Union Home Minister following issues of governance @MamataOfficial focused Alarming rise in Covid Deaths and +ve cases.
Lawlessness and wanton targeting of political opponents.
Rampant Corruption #Amphan Relief.”

According to sources, the Governor apprised the Home Minister about the prevailing political, law and order and COVID-19 situations in West Bengal.
