Kolkata: West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar and First Lady Smt. Sudesh Dhankhar will leave for Birbhum to pay tribute to Galwan Valley martyr Sepoy Rajesh Orang at his Village Belgoria of Birbhum District. The Governor would be accompanied by Lt Gen Anil Chauhan, General Officer Commanding in Chief, Eastern Command.
Twenty Indian Army men made supreme sacrifice for the nation in a violent clash with Chinese People’s Liberation Army troops at Galwan Valley in Eastern Ladakh on late-evening and night of June 15.
As a result of Indian Army’s bravery, there were casualties on the Chinese side as well, though China has censured their numbers. US intelligence exposes Chinese censorship by stating that 35 Chinese soldiers were killed, on the other hand, former PLA official said that over 100 Chinese soldiers were killed which China has not disclosed.
