Chennai: Suresh Raina has returned to India owing to personal reasons and will not take part in the Indian Premier League to be played in the UAE from Sept 19, the Chennai Super Kings management announced on Saturday (Aug 29).
“Suresh Raina has returned to India for personal reasons and will be unavailable for the 2020 IPL season. Chennai Super Kings offers complete support to Suresh and his family during the time,” CSK CEO KS Viswanathan said in a statement.
IPL-13 will be played in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi between Sept 19 and Nov 10.
CSK is the most consistent team in IPL history, having qualified for the Playoffs in all their 10 seasons, reached the final eight times and lifted the trophy thrice.
