Kolkata: Wellness and Beauty services and products brand, VLCC, will cover the cost of COVID-19 vaccination for its 4,000+ employees in India and 13 other countries where it has direct company-managed operations, says a press release.
As part of this initiative, the company will also cover the dependents of its employees who are enrolled on the company’s medical benefits programme and are eligible to receive the vaccination as per government guidelines.
According to the company statement, staffs in its UAE operations, where it manages 12 Wellness & Beauty clinics, have already been inoculated. In India, it has also been in touch with the Union Ministry of Health for categorisation of staff operating its over 200 Wellness & Beauty Clinics in over 100 cities as health-care workers.
This will give them priority in line with other front-line workers, as these clinics are delivering services related to immunity building solutions as well as specific chronic disease related wellness management programmes.
Mrs. Vandana Luthra, Founder & Co-Chairperson, VLCC Group said, “Our priority is to safeguard the health of our employees and customers. We strongly support the public health drive for immunisation and we will cover the cost of COVID-19 vaccination of our employees as well as their dependents in India, as we are doing in other countries where VLCC operates.”
VLCC is the only organisation whose wellness programmes carry the Indian Medical Association stamp of approval and majority of its employees are experienced healthcare professionals. Each of its clinics is staffed by medical doctors, nutritionists and physiotherapists, who manage, supervise and execute the service delivery protocols.
