Imphal: Karkinos Manipur Cancer Institute and Research Centre in collaboration with Keirao Wangkhem Village Level Federation organized a One Day Cancer Awareness Program and Early Detection Camp at Ima Lairembi VLF in Imphal East.
The program was held to highlight the importance of early detection in treating cancer and aware maximum people about cancer-care,
The Awareness Program included activities like: 1) Creation of ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account); 2) Cancer Awareness Speech; 3) Risk Assessment of 6 cancers.
Around 150 people attended the cancer awareness camp. The initiative also witnessed creation of hassle-free ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) Card for the people at the camp.
Resource persons and medical team led by Dr. K. Rajo Singh, Former Director of Health Services, Government of Manipur & HOD-Department of Anaethesiology, Karkinos Manipur Cancer Institute and Research Centre were present to interact with the people.
