Gurugram/Kolkata: Snapdeal has announced to launch its ‘Pride of India’ E-store ahead of the country’s 74th Independence Day. The e-store offers specially curated patriotic-themed items. It also has products from Indian artisans, weavers, craftsmen, and women entrepreneurs.
The move will also help sellers of these indigenous products revive business as they rebuild their businesses after the massive disruption due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The company said that India’s small businesses comprise the majority of the sellers on Snapdeal. These sellers have added thousands of new products on the e-store this year. This year, we included patriotic-themed collection, indigenous items, and products from famous local brands to the e-store. These are across categories like apparel, decor, fashion accessories, cosmetics, and fitness.
The e-store has a huge variety of tri-colour clothes, flags, books on independence, and organic food. Vande Mataram slogan t-shirts and cushion covers are also available. There is a wide range of tri-colour printed collectibles like travel and tech accessories, fridge magnets, keychains, t-shirts, coffee mugs, and phone cases.
The e-store showcases the diversity and craftsmanship of India’s weavers and artisans. Jamdani, Bhagalpuri, Kantha and Kancheepuram sarees besides Phulkari, Ikkat and Bhandej dupattas from the textile-rich states of Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, and Madhya Pradesh are available.
